Duck Tales: Iberia

The Ducks escape from the icy darkness of a Finnish winter to the light and warmth of Spain and Portugal. They take over 22,000 waddles in Madrid, happy to have found real espresso after all of the Finnish coffee they’ve been drinking. They enjoy a flamenco performance at the end of their first day. Next, the Ducks make their way to Santiago de Compostela for Christmas Eve, where they party with the pilgrims, and to A Coruña for Christmas, where the salt sea air settles into their feathers. Next, to Porto, where they sample pasteis de nata and drink port wine to the saudade-laced melodies of fado. In Coimbra they bask in the prisms of the sun (that magical orb that had gone missing from northern Finland as of late), learn about ancient Portuguese wine grape varietals, and splash in the river. They sample new delicacies in Lisbon, after having chased versions of caldo verde across the length of the country.
